E. Larry Sikes - CPA/PFS, CFP^®, CVA

As a senior member of the firm, Larry serves as President and Managing Director of Darnall, Sikes, Gardes & Frederick. His expertise in financial management issues has helped to ensure the continued growth of the firm. In addition to these responsibilities, he also services a broad spectrum of clients, including real estate operators, manufacturers, retailers, professional service organizations, and oilfield service companies.

Providing guidance through the intricacies of financial transactions as well as helping to establish controls to increase profitability and working capital, Larry has played an integral role in the development of many of his clients' businesses. Whether evaluating the feasibility of acquiring a new business or assisting in the negotiations on the sale/purchase of a business, clients have come to rely on Larry's experienced professional help. Over the years, he has developed a specialization in consulting for debt restructuring, as well as negotiating sophisticated merger and acquisition situations.

Larry is a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner and has obtained the NASD Series 7 and NASAA Series 66 licenses needed to assist the firm's clients with their financial and investing needs. Larry sits on the Firm's Financial Services Committee.  Demonstrating his commitment to helping provide clients with the highest level of financial planning services, Sikes earned the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) credential in July of 2006.  He is recognized by the AICPA as one of an elite group of CPAs nationwide having extensive professional experience in financial planning.  He is a registered representative with 1st Global Capital Corporation.^* 

Larry is also a Certified Valuation Analyst and a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. As a CVA, he has valued business clients including oilfield service companies, retail and wholesale businesses, and construction and fabrication companies for estate and gift tax planning and for buy/sell agreements.

A practicing Certified Public Accountant for more than 30 years, Larry is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants.

Larry graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now University of Louisiana at Lafayette) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He is active in many social and civic organizations.
