Clayton Darnall – CPA, CVA

As a shareholder of Darnall, Sikes, Gardes & Frederick and Chairman of the firm's Management Advisory Committee, Clay has a long history of working closely with clients to meet their complex and ever-changing individual financial and business needs. His insight and expertise in the areas of business valuations and management advisory services have allowed him to assist a number of business owners and entrepreneurs in furthering their goals and continuing the success of their enterprises.

Clay has worked with many clients from start-up through maturation, providing much more than just reporting services and historical analysis. He provides the careful analysis and crucial information needed to make recommendations for maximizing productivity, diversification, and management strategies.

Clay is a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. He has valued companies ranging from automobile dealerships and dairy distributors to offshore energy services and chemical distributors. Also experienced in Federal and Louisiana income taxation as well as general accounting and auditing, Clay is a valued advisor and team member for many business concerns. His client base encompasses legal practices, dairy distributors, automobile dealerships, oilfield service companies, retail establishments, and industrial chemical distributors and manufacturers.

By achieving the NASD Series 7 and NASAA Series 66 licenses, Clay is a licensed financial advisor and assists the firm's clients with their financial and investing needs.  He is a member of the firm’s Financial Services Committee and is a registered representative with 1st Global Capital Corporation.^* 

An Acadiana native, Clay is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants. He is also active civically with the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce and the Beaver Club of Lafayette. Clay received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now University of Louisiana at Lafayette) in 1981.
