Michael Eble's paintings and drawings examine concepts that provide his motivation. After moving from his native south in the Summer of 2003, Eble sought an artistic process that enabled him to better understand, with distance, the concept of home. Elbe is Assistant Professor of Studio Art at the University of Minnesota in Morris, and curator of the university's Humanities Fine Arts Center Gallery. A New Orleans native, he has exhibited throughout Louisiana as well as in Mississippi, Tennessee and Minnesota.
