HOPE HEBERT
Hope Hebert's highly individualistic style brings together
international flavors including the great Italian artist,
Modigliani, as well as local influences such as Michalopolus, of
New Orleans. She is known for her work in both acrylics and oils,
characterized by a free spirited use of color and passion for
texture and form.
An early interest in art has lead Hope to extensive studies over the
past fifteen years in art history, painting techniques, and styles.
Her deep roots to her Cajun heritage show in her flare for antiqued
finds such as doors and windows which she uses as her 'canvas'. She
continues to work in her preferred mediums always striving to create
new and exciting pieces.
Hope is a
South Louisiana native, originally from New Iberia and currently residing
in Lafayette, Louisiana.
In addition to the exhibit with Darnall, Sikes, Gardes & Frederick,
her work may also be found at
Jefferson Street Market in Lafayette,
Rue Cou Cou in Baton Rouge, and on
her
website
HopeHebert.com.
Hope's
artwork was featured at Darnall, Sikes, Gardes & Frederick for the
Summer 2008 Season. We hope you enjoyed her
colorful expressions of life and our Cajun culture as they grace our Lafayette office
corridors.
