CHRISTA BILLEAUD

South Louisianan Christa Billeaud’s artistic style is diverse.
Although she
primarily paints in oils on canvas, she has also worked with
arcrylics, pastels, egg tempera, enamels and oil on china.
Christa will tell you
that she can and will paint “anything” and “everything”. Her
true talent lies in her ability to change from very realistic to
impressionistic expression with her oil paints. Christa has
been painting for fifteen years under the direction of Pat Venable
at Jeannelle’s Art Studio, a quaint little shop in her hometown of
Lafayette, Louisiana.
Her favorite place to paint is outside,
where she is totally able to be at peace; but she also says that she
does some of her best work with her ipod streaming. Her strong
faith, love of family, and spirit of voluntarism are her focus when
she is not painting.

A relative newcomer to the world of art, John T. Landry began
painting at age 64. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys spending time in
the marshes near his beloved Pecan Island, Louisiana camp,
Marshview Lodge. He enjoys
impressionist painting in both oil and acrylic and his subject
matter is quite diverse. Inspired by nature and beautiful
landscapes, he paints a varied spectrum of subjects. After retiring
from two separate careers, he was inspired to take up painting by
watching the glorious sunrises and sunsets from his Pecan Island
camp deck.
Since his youth, he has had a love for the ‘great outdoors ‘and a
keen appreciation for nature and its beauty. He grew up hunting and
fishing with his father, and later with his father-in-law, family
and friends. As a youngster, he had a professional taxidermy
business. The strength of his paintings, which are mainly
impressionist style, is depicted in the depth of colors of the
sunrises, sunsets and various landscape scenes he paints.

Broussard. They have two married children, Dr. Craig Landry of
